SM City Iloilo's Fiesta in the City

Iloilo is the regional center for Western Visayas and has some impressive remnants of the Spanish era, including stately old homes and Fort San Pedro. To add, the Province is also best known as the sire of Philippines’ most famous and colorful festivals. One of them is the Carabao Carroza Festival in the Municipality of Pavia which is considered as the oldest existing festival in the province (not including the city where Dinagyang and Paraw Regatta is held).

Just this week, the Juniors for Progress Movement took time malling and shopping at SM City Iloilo. We found out that this week was “Fiesta in the City” Week of the said mall. And consequent to that, SM displayed the “Carrozas” that the municipality used during the festival last May 2nd. Here it is:

The carrozas showed the inguinity and creativity of the Pavianhons, which in that case, WE VERY PROUD OF LIVING IN PAVIA and PROUD TO BE CALLED AS PAVIANHONS.
